Summer recap - lazy London Days

I have so many photos I won't witter on with too much text, otherwise you'll tune out in complete boredom!!  So here are some lovely days we spent up in 'The Big Smoke'...

Coffee, crochet and loom band rest break...

Southwark Cathedral

Borough Market, a feast for all the senses...

Croissant break.....

I hope you like my London scenes, mainly Southwark as I just love that area and a walk down the Thames there so pleasant, away from the hustle and the bustle of the West End....next visit not until the Christmas Hols, but roll on a sunny, bright, fresh morning and you will find us wandering there again, eating croissants and drinking coffee...(me drinking coffee not my kids!!)

At long last, I have a brand new, shiny, squeaky clean laptop in the middle of my grubby paws.....I've been having a quick play with photos etc and will just post a quick summer snapshot today, I have so many photos I don't think I will catch up with them all but there are a couple of posts that I will share and of course an update on all the hooky action that has been taking place over the holidays....

So , here is my first photo collage....many more to follow......

A very excited Niki, pity I am working now until Sunday, but next week a new blogging adventure starts in earnest

UPDATE

Hello everyone, sorry it has been so long.....it looks like a laptop purchase is being made this week......then I can bombard you with photos....days out, holidays, crochet, cakes....the list is endless.

Today welcomes September, a lovely time of year, bright sunshine if we are lucky, but, with a quickening crispness in the air....little J starts junior school on Wednesday, so I am starting to feel him change his mood, not so carefree, a bit more serious, a bit more sensitive, a bit more easily upset, a little bit reserved...
Little A starts reception next week, she, on the other hand cannot wait...bring it on she says!!!

So, all this will take some time to adjust to.....by the end of the month we should all be sorted into new routines and I will of had a good clean up following a summer of fun and not much thought to housework!!!

September is certainly all about change and not just the seasons......it will be new to me to not have any little ones at home, clinging to my leg, asking constant questions, sticky cuddles, chatter, mess, toys, crumbs....so I will have a few extra hours, more organised housework, workouts, crochet breaks, but, more importantly I can really throw myself into growing my little cake business and make some pennies for little treats with my two ever growing babies (not forgetting the big baby - hubby!)

So when I return it will be in full technicolour.....hopefully it won't take me too long to get the hang of the new laptop!!!

Bye lovelies xxxxxxxx

What am I doing now.....

This evening, hubby is out and the kids, whilst not entirely quiet, are in bed, so this leaves me to do......

- crochet some colourful stripes
- listen to  'I believe in Miracles' by The Jackson Sisters
- Watch recorded episodes of Barefoot Contessa
- Drink Prosecco
- Eat strawberries with meringue I made earlier
- Get stuck in to an Agatha Christie book......

What are you doing??

Washcloths.....

I think, I really think that hubby may finally of decided on a new laptop....I have a whole list of things I need to do..tax return, blogging, shopping..some exciting, some not.

In the meantime, it has been far to sunny to work on my granny stripe so I have moved on to some smaller projects......washcloths and granny squares to be precise!! Photos to follow...lots of baking, New healthy dinner recipes, so easy to eat more fruit and veg in hot weather :)

Only one more day at school, can't wait to spend some time with my little ones, fingers crossed for dry weather, lots of parks and picnics and outdoorsy fun!!

So until next time, I'm really hoping it will be with pictures, happy hooking, baking, crafting and creating.

Washing.....

I love the lovely blowy summer days, when you can get all your washing dry in super quick time and it smells so fresh and clean and summery...the only downside is that I have peg bag envy :( I see so many blogs with gorgeous peg bags/box's/tubs....guess what I use...

........a really old, holey carrier bag....soooooooo ashamed, must rectify this pronto, certainly before new laptop is purchased and photo blogging recommences!!

Emotional mummy

Today was the first time that my little J did not want to go to school...he is completely full to bursting with nerves as he goes to visit his junior school that he will go to in September....they have a buddy system and he met his buddy yesterday and he was very excited, but, he woke during the night, full of tears and upset.....his infant school works very closely with the juniors and the schools are very close to each other.....but, heartwrenching is not the word!! Being a July baby he is one of the youngest in the year and I left him with one of the teachers this morning looking, small, scared and tearful......this being a mummy is such a hard job........
