One of those days......

So, this week we have had some glorious sunshine.....little A and me had been stuck in cleaning :( being full of cold for the past 2 weeks has meant the housework has completely gone out of the window!! It also happened to coincide with a really busy spell at work so, what with one thing and another, I had been left feeling lousy..

We decided to take a well earned tea break out in the back garden....coffee, choc chip
cookies and a spot of ripple relaxing...

This is a baby blanket in the making, it is stylecraft special dk, the Attic 24 colour pack in fact...I just love it!! It is also the neat ripple pattern from Lucy at Attic 24....

Feeling cheesed off of late it was spirit lifting to look at the pretty little flowers lifting their faces skyward, pretty much like myself and little A, enjoying the birdsong, the stillness, the warming up of our skin....very very nice.

My favourite fuchsia is blooming happily away....

My mint looks like it needs a jug of Pimm' s to paddle in ;)

I even got so carried away with the sun that I got out all my summer gladrags and put away my winter woollies....next week's weather forecast...rain!!!

This beauty was for a christening, love the roses.......

Hope you liked them, thanks for stopping by xxxxx

  1. Ooh I like your ripple - you have a lovely effect there by going between the stitches rather than into the tops. Looks fab!!

    4. Sorry for the deletions - stupid typos! This is what I meant:

That's the best way I think! I learned with a ripple too, I think I've been crocheting about 2 years now - I feel as though I've made a lot of progress by learning as I go, I hope you feel like that too! (and if not yet, then soon!)

  2. Lovely ripple blanket! I am longing to make another ripple, but really not allowed to until I use up some of my stash!
