One of those days......

So, this week we have had some glorious sunshine.....little A and me had been stuck in cleaning :( being full of cold for the past 2 weeks has meant the housework has completely gone out of the window!! It also happened to coincide with a really busy spell at work so, what with one thing and another, I had been left feeling lousy..

We decided to take a well earned tea break out in the back garden....coffee, choc chip
cookies and a spot of ripple relaxing...

This is a baby blanket in the making, it is stylecraft special dk, the Attic 24 colour pack in fact...I just love it!! It is also the neat ripple pattern from Lucy at Attic 24....

Feeling cheesed off of late it was spirit lifting to look at the pretty little flowers lifting their faces skyward, pretty much like myself and little A, enjoying the birdsong, the stillness, the warming up of our skin....very very nice.

My favourite fuchsia is blooming happily away....

My mint looks like it needs a jug of Pimm' s to paddle in ;)

I even got so carried away with the sun that I got out all my summer gladrags and put away my winter woollies....next week's weather forecast...rain!!!

This beauty was for a christening, love the roses.......

Hope you liked them, thanks for stopping by xxxxx

Germs

I was busy at work Saturday when I downed tools ( being my own boss helps!), grabbed hubby and the little people and headed over to the High Street for some bits and bob's and a cafe stop....at the library there is a little cafe with a garden and water fountain...we sat outside enjoying the sunshine, Little J and A were happily playing in the grass and I was getting stuck into the magazine that comes with the Saturday Telegraph, when out of nowhere my throat felt all scratchy, sandpapery, horrid :(

We continued with our jobs, went home, had lunch....back to work, feeling yuck....finally I got my whopping cake completed, gave in and decamped to the sofa and barring a couple of trips out for fresh air, I have remained....I did sit out in the garden, all wrapped up with a pot of coffee and my bag of crochet....so for the time being this is me....

Sofa, crochet, tea, tissues.......

Bits and bobs..

So this is 'the dress'.....

I am so pleased with it, it fits like a glove and is just so happy!!! I haven't had the opportunity to wear it yet, but, once I start I don't think I will want to stop....

This is the lovely honeysuckle that I have growing outside my front door, I also have one in my back garden....the smell is a delight in the early evening, such a pity the flowers are nearly over, but, whilst it lasts it brings joy to our damp, grey, spring days.

We were lucky enough to spend a fabulous two weeks in Majorca last summer and this little bag came home with us....an ideal bag for storing my crochet work in progress!!

These beautiful flowers are livening up my lounge, such pretty colours.....and inspiring...

See..

These little squares are going to be a small throw for the sofa, I'm thinking a 100 square, but, it may grow bigger.  Beautiful stylecraft special DK 4mm hook great colours to work with and then all joined on the go with cream.I love it already.

This is my finished vintage stripe taking pride of place on Little J' s bed, he loves it, he snuggles it, he plays with it, he sleeps under, on, in it.....he doesn't share it.....

And finally, as is becoming the norm.....CAKE...

Bye lovelies, thanks so much for popping by xxxxx I'm off for a coffee :) x
